FAQ

Everything you need to know about Yashfeeni

How do I book an appointment with a doctor?

Download the Yashfeeni app, sign up with your Iraqi phone number, browse doctors and pick the right one, choose an available time, and pay. Your booking is ready within minutes.

How do I pay?

You can pay from your Yashfeeni wallet balance or in cash at the clinic. Online payment gateways appear in the app only once they're enabled and ready.

If I cancel a booking, do I get a refund?

If the booking was paid and is still pending confirmation or confirmed, the amount is refunded to the payer's wallet on cancellation. After check-in or once the visit starts, you can't cancel it yourself in the app.

How do I get my prescription?

After the visit, the doctor signs the prescription electronically and it appears instantly in your app. You can send it to the nearest pharmacy in one tap, or print it and take it yourself.

Can the pharmacy see my full medical file?

No. The pharmacy sees the prescription (medications + doses) plus drug-safety alerts only: if a medicine on the prescription clashes with a drug allergy on your file or with another medicine you currently take, it sees the name of that allergy or medicine so it can check before dispensing. Your full file, medical history, lab and imaging results aren't shown to it — to protect your privacy.

If I have a medical emergency, should I contact you?

No — call Iraq's unified emergency number, 911, which covers immediate ambulance service. Yashfeeni is not a substitute for an ambulance or an emergency room.

Is my data protected?

Yes. Sensitive medical fields and attachments are encrypted at rest, and every connection to the service is protected by HTTPS. Doctors' access to your file is recorded in an audit log.

Who can view my file?

The doctor who treated you can view your file for up to 12 months from your last visit with them. Any doctor you give consent to in the app can view it within the limits of that consent, until you withdraw it or it expires. In emergencies only, a doctor can open your file with time-limited emergency access (Break-Glass); this access is logged and reviewed by platform admins. The pharmacy sees only the prescription and the drug-safety alerts that go with it, not your file.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Account settings → Security → Delete account. After you request it, a grace period begins during which you can change your mind by signing in again; after that, your identity data is permanently removed. Medical and financial records that must be retained are kept without your name or number. Details are on the “Delete account” page.

Is the app available outside Iraq?

The platform is currently designed for patients and care providers inside Iraq. Any expansion abroad will be announced only after legal and operational requirements are met.

I'm a doctor — how do I join the platform?

Download the Yashfeeni app (doctors edition), sign up with your email and a password, upload your licence and complete your clinic details. Your clinical account isn't activated until your licence is verified.

I'm a pharmacist — how do I join?

Download the Yashfeeni app (pharmacies edition) and enter your pharmacy details. You'll start receiving prescriptions once your account is reviewed and activated.

Which languages is Yashfeeni available in?

Arabic, Kurdish (Sorani) and English. You can switch language at the top of the site and in the app settings.
